iiOMA
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
iiOMA is operated by iiNEER Corp. ("iiNEER", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you create and use an iiOMA account, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to the iiOMA web application and the devices (lens edgers, tracers and related equipment) you connect through it.
2. Data we collect
We collect the following categories of data:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Email address, password (stored only as a hash), store name, country. | You, at sign-up. |
| Device identifiers | Device serial number. | Your connected device. |
| Device operational data | Device status and connection state, event and error logs, firmware/software version, and usage data such as lens processing jobs, shape/tracing data and job counts. | Your connected device, transmitted to our servers during use. |
The device serial number can, alone or combined with other data, identify a specific device or user. We therefore treat it as personal data and handle it under this policy.
3. Why we collect it and our legal basis
We process the data above for the purposes below. Where the EU/UK GDPR or comparable laws apply, the legal basis is shown in brackets.
- Providing the service — creating your account, verifying device ownership by serial number, and connecting your device to iiOMA. (Performance of a contract.)
- Operating and improving the product — monitoring device status, diagnosing errors from logs, and producing aggregate usage statistics. (Legitimate interests.)
- Support and software updates — providing technical support and delivering firmware/software upgrades. (Performance of a contract / legitimate interests.)
- Security — protecting accounts and devices against unauthorised access and abuse. (Legitimate interests.)
Where we rely on your consent — for example, the consent you give at sign-up to the collection of your account and device data — you may withdraw it at any time (see "Your rights"), without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
4. How data is transmitted and stored
The iiOMA web application runs in your browser and communicates with iiNEER's servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Device status, logs and usage data are transmitted from your connected device to those servers so the service can function. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk to protect your data.
5. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards as required to meet legal, accounting or dispute-resolution obligations. Device operational data and logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above and are then deleted or anonymised.
6. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that host or support iiOMA on our behalf, and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law. As iiNEER operates internationally, your data may be processed in countries other than your own; where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
